Add a Benefit

Benefits are a great way to reward your employees and show them that you value their hard work. In Workmax, you can add benefits to your employees' profiles to keep track of the benefits they receive. To add a benefit to an employee's profile, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your "Workmax" account with an admin account.
  2. Go to the "Expenses & Benefits" section.
  3. Click on the "Benefits" tab.
  4. Click on the "New Benefit" button.
  5. Enter the benefit details.
    • Name
    • Declaration, choose from the options:
      • "P11D": The benefit is included in the employee's P11D form.
      • "PAYE": The benefit will be taxed through PAYE.
    • Type, choose from the options:
      • "Accommodation"
      • "Expenses Paid"
        • Expense Type, choose from the options:
          • "Entertainment"
          • "Home Telephone"
          • "Non-Qualifying Relocation"
          • "Other"
          • "Travel and Subsistence"
      • "Assets Transferred"
        • Assets Transferred description, choose from the options:
          • "Cars"
          • "Multiple"
          • "Other"
          • "Precious Metals"
          • "Property"
      • "Car"
        • Make
        • Model
        • Registration number
        • Date of first registration
        • List price including Standard Accessories
        • Non-standard accessories
        • Has approved CO2 emissions
        • CO2 emissions
        • Fuel type, choose from the options:
          • "Diesel 6D - F"
          • "Diesel Non 6D - D"
          • "Other - A"
        • Engine size in cc (cubic centimeters)
        • Zero emission mileage
        • Employee capital contribution
        • Did you provide fuel for private use?
        • Date of fuel was first provided
        • Cash equivalent fuel benefit
        • Did you withdraw the car during the year?
        • Date of withdrawal
        • Was the car unavailable for more than 30 consecutive days?
        • How many days was the car unavailable?
      • "Assets placed at employee's disposal"
        • Assets placed at employee's disposal description, choose from the options:
          • "Aircraft"
          • "Boat"
          • "Corporate Hospitality"
          • "Holiday Accommodation"
          • "Multiple"
          • "Other"
          • "Timeshare Accommodation"
      • "Entertainment"
      • "Interest-Free and Low-Interest Loans"
        • Loan starting balance

        • Interest rate provided to employee
        • Number of joint borrowers

      • "Mileage Allowance"
      • "Other Items"
        • Other Items description, choose from the options:
          • "Education Assistance"

      • "Payments made on behalf of the employee"
        • Payments made on behalf of the employee description, choose from the options:

          • "Multiple"

          • "Private Car Expenses"
          • "Private Education Fees"
          • "Season Tickets"
      • "Qualifying Relocation"
      • "Services"
      • "Vans"

    • Benefit available from

    • Is the benefit a rolling benefit?
  6. Click on the "Save & continue" button.
  7. Select the employees who will receive the benefit.
  8. Click on the "Save & continue" button.
  9. Review the benefit details.
  10. Click on the "Save" button.

Workmax will now add the benefit to the selected employees' profiles. The benefit will be associated with the employees who receive it and will be available for reporting and tax purposes. If you have any questions or need help, please contact Workmax Support.
