Add an Adoption Time Off Policy
Adoption leave is a period of time an employee takes off work when they adopt a child or have a child through surrogacy. It is a type of statutory leave policy, and eligible employees can receive Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP). In Workmax, you can add an adoption leave policy to manage adoption leave for your team members.
Eligible employees are entitled to up to 52 weeks' adoption leave, with up to 39 weeks paid — the first 6 weeks at 90% of average weekly earnings, and the remaining weeks at the statutory rate or 90% of average weekly earnings, whichever is lower. You can also offer an enhanced policy above the statutory minimum.
