Timesheets

Overview

Timesheets are a feature of Workmax that allows you to track the time your employees spend at work. With Timesheets, you can create timesheets for your employees, track start and end times, breaks, and earning types, and calculate pay based on the hours worked. This guide will show you how to use Timesheets in Workmax.

How Workmax Timesheets Work?

Timesheets work by allowing you to create timesheets for your employees or employees to create their own timesheets.Employees will need timesheets to be enabled in their account to create their own timesheets. Once a timesheets are enabled, employees can create timesheets for themselves. Managers can also create timesheets for their employees.

To create timesheets employees will need to enter the date of the timesheet, the start and end time of the shift, and any breaks taken during the shift. Once the timesheet is created, it can be submitted for approval. Managers can review the timesheet, make any necessary changes, and approve it for payment. Once the timesheet is approved, it will be available for payroll processing.

When running payroll just click the Sync button to include the approved timesheets in the payroll. The timesheets will be included in the payroll and the employees will be paid based on the hours they have worked and the pay rates configured in the system.

Timesheet Status

Workmax Timesheets use the following status:

  • Draft: The timesheet has been created but not submitted for approval.
  • Submitted: The timesheet has been submitted for approval.
  • Approved: The timesheet has been approved and is ready for payment.
  • Rejected: The timesheet has been rejected and requires further action.
  • Payrolled: The timesheet has been included in the payroll.
  • Paid: The timesheet has been paid.

Timesheet Notifications

Workmax Timesheets offer notifications for the following events:

  • Timesheet Submitted: Receive a notification when a timesheet is submitted for approval. This notification will be sent to the manager and payroll administrator.
  • Timesheet Approved: Receive a notification when a timesheet is approved. This notification will be sent to the employee.
  • Timesheet Rejected: Receive a notification when a timesheet is rejected. This notification will be sent to the employee.
