Add a Shift
Shifts are an essential part of any business as they help you to manage your employees' work schedules effectively. With Workmax, you can create shifts for your employees, assign them to specific employees, and track their start time, end time, breaks, and earning type. This guide will show you how to add a shift in Workmax.
How to Add a Shift
Ensure you have the necessary permissions to add shifts. If you don't have the required permissions, contact your manager or admin.
By selecting Yes to the location radius, you can ensure that employees clock in/out within the location radius. This feature helps you to track the location of your employees and ensure they are at the right place at the right time.
Manager or Admin Profile
- Sign in to your "Workmax" account with a manager or admin account.
- Go to the "Rotas & shifts" section.
- Select a Rota you want to add a shift to.
- Click on the "Actions" button and select "Add Shift" option or click on the "Add Shift" icon on specific day.
- Enter the shift details
- Assigned to - Select the employee you want to assign the shift to. (Optional)
- Start date
- Start time
- End date
- End time
- Job title
- Earning type (Regular, Overtime, etc.)
- Shift rate - Enter the hourly rate for the shift. (Optional)
- Location
- Yes/No - If employee is required to clock in/out within the location radius.
- Location radius - Enter the location radius in meters.
- Yes/No - If employee is required to clock out with attachment.
- Notes (Optional)
- Click on the "Save" button.
Shifts without assigned employees will be displayed in the "Unassigned Shifts" section.
Workmax will now create the shift, and you can view it in the shifts list. If you have any questions or need help, please contact Workmax Support.
