Skip a Pay Period

Overview

Sometimes you may need to skip a pay period for a pay calendar. Workmax allows you to skip a pay period for a pay calendar. When you skip a pay period, Workmax will not generate payslips for that pay period. You can skip a pay period for a pay calendar by following these steps:

Avoid skipping pay periods unless absolutely necessary. Skipping pay periods can cause issues with payroll, employee payments, and discrepancies with HMRC. If you need to skip a pay period, make sure to inform your employees and HMRC about the changes.

To set a default pay calendar for your account, follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to your "Workmax" account with an admin account.
  2. Click on your "My Account" icon in the top left corner of the page.
  3. Navigate to "Pay Calendars" section.
  4. Click on the pay calendar you want to view.
  5. Click on the "Actions" button.
  6. Select "Skip Pay Period" from the dropdown menu.
  7. Click "Confirm" to skip the pay period.

Workmax will now skip the pay period for the selected pay calendar. If you have any questions or need help, please contact Workmax Support.
