Request Maternity Leave
Maternity leave is a period of time that a mother takes off from work to have a baby. In the UK, employees are entitled to maternity leave and pay if they meet certain criteria. This guide will show you how to request maternity leave in Workmax.
How maternity leave works?
- Maternity leave policy: Your employer will have a maternity leave policy that outlines the maternity leave entitlements and requirements for your company.
- Maternity leave request: You can request maternity leave through Workmax. Your employer will review your request and approve or reject it.
- Maternity leave pay: If you are eligible for maternity leave pay, your employer will pay you for the time you take off to have a baby. The maternity leave pay will be based on your maternity leave policy and the number of weeks you are off work.
You are entitled to a maximum of 52 weeks' maternity leave. You can also choose to share your maternity leave with your partner if you are eligible for shared parental leave. Learn more about shared parental leave.
